SCORM modules are pieces of digital content that sit within courses. Upload them to Form LMS before adding them to a course.
✔ Before you start: You need the Site admin or Admin role.
The typical workflow for adding a new course with new modules is:
- Upload all modules first via Catalogue → Modules.
- Create your course, then add the uploaded modules.
Upload a SCORM module
- Go to Catalogue → Modules → click Create module.
- Click Upload, find and select the SCORM module on your local machine. The module begins uploading, unzipping, and validating.
- If the SCORM is invalid, retry the upload or select another file.
- If the SCORM is valid, you can preview it before continuing.
- Click Save and continue.
- Enter the module name and description, then select either:
- Save draft: The module cannot be used in courses.
- Save and release: The module can be used in courses.
ℹ️ The module name, description, and image appear to learners when they access the module.
⚠️ Videos should be added as video links (YouTube or Vimeo), not video files. There is a 50 MB limit for SCORM files to maintain performance.
Update a SCORM module
- Go to Catalogue → Modules. Find the module, click its three-dot menu, and select Edit module.
- Click Change file, upload the new SCORM file, then click Save and continue.
- Click Save & Release. Add Release notes to record version history, then click Release.
⚠️ Once updated, the changes apply across your entire Form site. Updating or removing modules from courses affects current user enrolments.
