Overview
This article describes the process of manually enrolling one or more learners onto one or multiple courses.
Enrolling learners onto a course
- Select one or multiple courses from the search box. The search can be done either by clicking into the box and selecting from the list or by beginning to type the name of the course and then selecting.
- Use the Learner filters to search for learner accounts, or leave the filters blank and select Search to see a list of all learners within the system.
- Select the required learners using the check boxes.
- Choose whether an enrolment email is required. If an email is required, choose whether this will be the default enrolment email or a custom email. Custom emails can be edited and created from here.
Enrolment dates can be left as they are, or amended. If the dates are not amended, the new enrolment will be created with the date created on as the start date, there will be no end date meaning the enrolment will not expire.
If the start date is set to a date later than the creation date, the enrolment will be created and the course will have the status of 'Deferred'. Learners will not be able to access the course until the entered date has been reached, at this time the status will change to 'Not started'.
If an end date is entered, the enrolment will expire on this date and the learner will no longer be able to access the course. The status will change to 'Expired'.
Expired courses
Expired enrolments can be updated if necessary using the Update enrolment dates tab on the Enrol/withdraw courses screen in the same way as assigning a course.
